16/06/2008 to 08/07/2014: Medical doctor and resident in orthopedics at Rizzoli Orthopedic Insitute, University of Bologna, under the guidance of Prof. Mario Mercuri and Prof. Pietro Ruggieri. The main field of activity was musculoskeletal oncology.
01/10/2014 to 22/03/2015: Winner of the public selection with 60/60 points for a research grant with the project "Tumors of the sacrum: epidemiological study and new therapies" at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences of the University of Bologna, with assistance at the Clinic II of the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute. He then resigned from the aforementioned Contract on March 22nd 2015
23/03/2015 to 11/12/2016: Fixed-term recruitment with the qualification of 1st level Medical Doctor in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the AUSL of Ravenna, U.O. of Orthopedics of the Umberto I Civil Hospital in Lugo (RA), directed by Dr. Gabriele Zanotti. He then resigned on 11 December 2016.
01/12/2016 to 30/11/2017: Fixed-term recruitment with the qualification of 1st level Medical Doctor in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Oncology, University of Padova, directed by Prof. Pietro Ruggieri.

Dr. Andrea Angelini is Associate Professor at the Department of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Oncology, University of Padova.
Born in Savignano sul Rubicone, Italy in 1983, he obtained the medical degree cum laude at University of Bologna in 2008. He obtained Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery at University of Bologna and Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in 2014, followed by PhD in Oncology, Hematology and Experimental Pathology at University of Bologna in 2016.
- His main field of interest is surgery for musculoskeletal tumors:
- He collaborated for books (editor of 2 books), chapters (contributors of 20 published book chapters), and numerous scientific papers (83 published papers, about 1065 citations, H-index 18, IF 120).
- He has held courses and talks at international meetings (more than 100 presentations), faculty member of international courses (n. 24) and he is coauthor of more than 250 meeting abstracts.
- He was awarded for his scientific activity from EFORT, SIOT, EMSOS and ISOLS.
- He is peer-reviewer of 27 scientific journals. Member of the editorial board of “World Journal of Orthopedics”
